D:\projects\fortuna\node_modules\react-native-admob\android\src\main\java\com\sbugert\rnadmob\RNAdMobRewardedVideoAdModule.java:89: error: method does not override or implement a method from a supertype
@Override
^

1 error :react-native-admob:compileReleaseJavaWithJavac FAILED

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

  • What went wrong: Execution failed for task ':react-native-admob:compileReleaseJavaWithJavac'.

How can i fix this?

There should be a @Override

in line 89 of RNAdMobRewardedVideoAdModule.java file. Delete it and you should be good to go.

Storage in React Native

-
I'm about to develop offline dictionary app with React Native. But I'm not sure which storage is the best in React Native between SQLite & AsyncStorage . As I read some online documentation and tutorials, when I use SQLite I must need to configure SQLite library in each app iOS and android . And when I look through AsyncStorage not sure it can be handle or not million records inside it. That's why I like to know which one should I use between SQLite & AsyncStorage or some cool library out there for React Native? For that case, I recommend using Realm. It is simply much faster than AsyncStorage and SQLite. Read this and this for more info. AsyncStorage has slow runtime and has no indexing capabilities. It accepts only strings as its value and you need to serialize data before inserting and deserialize when reading. So it's not good for large amount of data. It also has 6MB limitation for Android devices.

Implementation of a function object “power” operator in Raku

-
20 2 In APL there is the power operator ⍣ , which if applied to a function f superimposes the application of f . How to implement that operator in Raku? For example, with this definition of f : sub f(Int:D $i){ $i + 1 } the command say (f ⍣ 4)(10); should be equivalent to say f(f(f(f(10)))); . My implementation below is for a function with one argument. Questions How one should extend or replace it with a better implementation that works on multiple (or any) signatures? How to define "high precedence" of that new power operator? Is there are better way to define the "identity function" result for f ⍣ 0 ? Reference links Here is a description of APL's ⍣ : "Power Operator". ( ⍣ is a "star with two dots", or mo...
